Executive Information Systems : A framework for their development and use

The development of Executive Information Systems (EISs), incurs risks. Success depends highly on how well the implementation process is managed in terms of technology and the users. Factors during the development process and especially during the use of he system can affect its eventual success. To study these factors we need to examine EISs use separately from the rest of the development cycle. To do that effectively we need to have a structured framework to classify the various components involved and highlight the relations between them. This paper proposes such a development framework for Executive Information Systems.
